Chopper Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented California Beach

A chopper hovering above a popular coastal shoreline abruptly began spiraling wildly, eventually dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm fronds as spectators looked on.

Footage shared on social media depict the aircraft commencing to spiral over the shoreline then falling near the border of the coast, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a steps close to the coastal road.

Rescue Operation Details

Emergency responders reported five persons were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the accident on the weekend.

Three persons on the pavement were hurt. Details on their injuries were still under review.

What led to the incident was not immediately released.
