The England manager Criticizes Wembley Fan Atmosphere Despite Comfortable Win Over Wales.

Thomas Tuchel shared his sadness that the England team did not get greater backing from the Wembley fans during their impressive triumph over Wales on Thursday night.

The manager was satisfied to see his squad maintain their winning momentum, with goals from Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Bukayo Saka inside the first 20 minutes settling the match. Yet, he was unhappy with the mood at the iconic venue.

“With one and a half sessions to get ready against a organized team and we excelled,” the coach stated. “We could have been five goals ahead at the break. We couldn’t score the additional goals. It was quiet. We didn’t get any energy from the crowd. We did everything to win.”

“What more can you give in the first quarter? We prevented them get away. When you only hear just the Welsh supporters for half an hour, it’s disappointing because the squad earned more support today.”

“I maintain this statement. There’s nothing more than leading 3-0 in a derby. I would have wished for a bit more support in periods where it becomes tough.”

“In the second half, to support us, there was excessive backing for the opposition. It might have aided us to refocus, but that’s football and that is it.”

Selection Choices Justified by Performance

Apart from risking a dispute among supporters, the manager also created controversy by excluding Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden from his team selection. However the decision was justified by Morgan Rogers excelling in the No 10 position and scoring his first international goal.

“That’s his style,” Tuchel explained. “He is a No 10 and he is competing for his position.”

Bellamy Hopes for Improvement from Defeat

The Wales manager hopes that his team, who host a strong Belgian side in a important World Cup qualifier on next week, improve after their awful performance in the opening period.

“That’s the reason I scheduled this match,” Bellamy said. “I need to see our current level. What are our ambitions? What is our identity? This performance gives me drive.”

Fitness Worry for Watkins

Ollie Watkins was taken off at the break after colliding with a post and may miss out when England face Latvia in Riga in a World Cup qualifying match on next week.
